Man dead, woman still in hospital after double shooting in Phoenix

Phoenix police said a man and a woman were found suffering gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a business near 35th Street and Thomas Road.

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a shooting in a parking lot that left one man dead and a woman in the hospital

Officers were called to the parking lot of a business near 35th Street and Thomas Road Saturday afternoon. There they found the pair suffering from gunshot wounds, and they were quickly rushed to a local hospital by the fire department.

The man, identified as an adult male in his late 50s, later died at the hospital. The woman is expected to survive her injuries.

Police have not released information about possible suspects at this time, and are asking that anyone with information about the shooting contact authorities.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
