PHOENIX — A box truck crashed into a building in central Phoenix on Sunday morning, police said.
Phoenix police officers responded to a call of a truck crashing into a building near 7th Avenue and McDowell Road just before 9 a.m. When officers got to the building, the found a truck, partially in the building.
Police said a vehicle turned in front of the box truck, causing the box truck to go in the direction of the building.
One person was at the business and was unharmed, police said. The driver of the truck was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said impairment was not a factor in the crash.
Police did not release the identities of those involved in the crash or any further detail regarding what led up to the incident.
