Two men are in the hospital on Sunday night after Chandler police shot a man who had allegedly shot another man after a fight, according to authorities.

Chandler Police said they were called to a home on Carla Vista Drive, near the intersection of McClintock Drive and Chandler Boulevard, around 6 p.m. on Sunday due to an armed suspect.

When officers got to the home, they found two men fighting outside. Officers gave commands to the armed man to drop his gun, but he did not and shot the other man.

Then officers shot the armed suspect, who was only identified as being in his 50s. The other man has not been identified.

Both men have been taken to the hospital.

Police said they did not know the relationship between the two men.

Three officers have been placed on administrative leave after the shooting.

Police expect to be in the area until the early morning hours on Monday investigating the shooting.

This is a developing story and more details will be added as they are made available.
