Motorcyclist dies in west Phoenix crash

Phoenix police officers got to the scene located near 107th Avenue and Camelback Road and found the motorcyclist suffering serious injuries. He later died.

PHOENIX — A man is dead following a crash involving a motorcyclist and a car in west Phoenix, the city's police department said.

Phoenix police officers got to the area of 107th Avenue and Camelback Road, near Camelback Ranch, around 10:35 a.m. on Sunday and found a man suffering serious injuries. The victim, identified by police as 19-year-old Louis Kyrell, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

The driver of the car remained in the area, police said. Portions of Ball Park Boulevard are closed for the investigation. 

Police did not give any further details about the incident.
