PEORIA, Ariz. — A two-vehicle crash has closed a Valley highway, just southwest of Lake Pleasant, on Sunday night.
The crash happened near the intersection of State Route 74 and Castle Hot Springs Road in Peoria.
A 12News crew at the scene has learned that a minivan carrying children was driving east on SR 74 and was trying to make a U-turn when they were struck by a pickup that was towing a large trailer and headed west.
Multiple people have been taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
