West Phoenix crash leaves 1 dead, authorities say

Police say impairment is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash.

PHOENIX — A person is dead following a crash in Interstate 10 in west Phoenix, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The Phoenix Fire Department was dispatched to a crash on I-10 between 67th and 75th avenues just after 7 a.m. on Sunday. Two patients were taken to the hospital and one later died, authorities said.

DPS  said impairment is being investigated as a factor in the crash. Authorities did not release any other information.
