Will weather allow for eclipse viewing in Arizona?

The solar eclipse will be in Arizona skies starting around 8 a.m., with its peak at 9:31 a.m.

PHOENIX — Thin clouds overhead Friday night will shimmy out of play in time for your solar eclipse viewing pleasure.

A layer of cloud cover will trap in thermal energy keeping our overnight lows on the mild side, but during the early morning hours, the cloud bank will push to the east.

Expect clear conditions for sunrise at 6:32 a.m. When the eclipse peaks at 9:31 a.m., temperatures will hover around 75 degrees.
