Tuesday night downtown Phoenix stabbing leaves 1 dead

PHOENIX — A man is dead following a stabbing in central Phoenix Tuesday night. Police did not say whether or not they have a suspect or suspects.

Phoenix police responded to the area of 11th Avenue and Jefferson Street for reports of an assault around 11 p.m. When officers got to the scene, they found a man with stab wounds.

The man was treated by Phoenix fire personnel and he was taken to a local hospital. The man later died, police said.
