PHOENIX — A young man has died following a motorcycle crash in west Phoenix, according to authorities.
The Phoenix Police Department said the single-vehicle crash happened Tuesday at around 7:40 p.m. near 32nd Avenue and Camelback Road. Police said a motorcyclist had lost control on Camelback Road and struck a light pole.

First responders arrived and tried to save the man's life but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified the deceased motorcyclist as 18-year-old Carrigan Jones.
