MESA, Ariz. — A woman was killed after being hit by a car in Mesa, according to the Mesa Police Department.
The crash blocked the main entrance to Mesa Regal Resort near Greenfield Road and University Drive, according to authorities.

Officers said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene but no information was given about how the crash occurred.
The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Sharon Rae Blakley.
No signs of impairment were observed and no charges have been filed by police. Speed may have been a contributing factor.
