CHANDLER, Ariz. — Missing teen Olivia Gerits has been found, city police said.

Chandler police said the 13-year-old girl, who went missing on April 12, was found April 21 and is being reunited with her family. Police detained 21-year-old Shawn Paul Riherd for questioning. Riherd was believed to have been with Gertis, police said.

Police said at about 6 p.m. on April 12, Gerits walked away from her house near the intersection of Gilbert Road and Hunt Highway saying she was going to a friend's house nearby and that she would be back in the morning.

However, she never showed up at the friend's house. Her phone was found two days later, abandoned on a bus in Tempe.

Chandler police said they believed she was with Riherd, whom she had been talking to online.

Police said Gerits was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black leggings and white shoes. She also had a "Hello Kitty" bag with extra clothes inside.
