Teen arrested in connection with 2022 assault, Gilbert police say

The Gilbert Police Department arrested 19-year-old Clayton Oden on May 3.

GILBERT, Ariz. — A teenage boy was arrested Friday for his alleged involvement in an assault that occurred in 2022, the city's police said. 

The Gilbert Police Department arrested 19-year-old Clayton Oden on May 3 for his alleged involvement in an assault that occurred in October of 2022 near Lindsay and Guadalupe roads in Gilbert. 

Gilbert police said the assault was reported in December of 2023 and while the victim of the assault was previously unidentified, the police have since identified the victim and interviewed that person. 

Oden was booked into the Gilbert-Chandler Holding Facility, police said. He is facing charges of disorderly conduct, which is a class one misdemeanor, and assault, which is a class 3 misdemeanor.
