PHOENIX — A 1-year-old is in extremely critical condition after Phoenix police say the child "swallowed a pill of an unknown substance."
Phoenix PD says the parents quickly tried to remove the pill from the child's mouth and called 911. When firefighters responded to the scene, a Hampton Inn hotel in Phoenix, the child suffered a cardiac arrest and was transported to a pediatric hospital for more treatment.
The condition of the child as of Sunday afternoon is unknown.
