PHOENIX — A suspect was arrested for allegedly providing another man with a weapon that he used to allegedly shoot at a third man, police said.

Ignacio Estrada Ochoa was arrested and booked on weapons violations charges after the shooting near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Phoenix Police Department said officers responded to a shooting in the area. There were several 911 calls that were received related to the incident.

Officers learned that two men were arguing while in their vehicles, police said.

At some point, one of the men allegedly threw an unknown object at the other vehicle, police said.

The first man drove off and the vehicle that the second man was in chased him.

They both pulled off about two miles away, near Seventh Street and South Mountain Avenue.

While stopped, a third man, who police have identified as Ochoa, gave a weapon to the first man who allegedly threw the item.

The first man then allegedly fired at the other man, who allegedly fired back.

The first man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. No one else was injured.

All three men were located. The other two men, identified as 20 and 23 years old, have not been arrested.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
