PHOENIX — A bicyclist was killed on Sunday after a collision with a truck pulling a horse trailer, the Phoenix Police Department said.

Officers responded to 32nd Street and Broadway Road after a call that an adult female on a bicycle had been struck by a truck, the Phoenix Police Department said.

The truck collided with the cyclist in the crosswalk of Broadway Road.

The woman on the bicycle was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased, police said.

She was identified Monday as 35 year-old Nicole Hicks.

Investigators determined the driver of the truck pulling the trailer failed to stop for a red light. The driver was issued citations.
