CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Police in Casa Grande have launched an investigation after a man was found dead in the front yard of a home after being shot.
Police say they were called to the home on the 100 block of Morrison Avenue due to the dead body being found around 7 a.m. on Sunday. That is just northeast of a roundabout that connects Jimmie Kerr Boulevard, Second Street and Main Street in Casa Grande.
Police identified the dead person as 29-year-old Ishmael Smith and said he died after being shot in the lower torso.
Police did not give any details on a suspect or what led up to Smith being shot and killed, but they are investigating his death.
