GILBERT, Ariz. - Arizona gymnast Alex Naddour has been suspended from USA Gymnastics pending a hearing on possible sexual misconduct, according to the organization’s website.
The suspension is imposed until an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations is completed and a hearing takes place, according to USA Gymnastics bylaws.
Naddour said in a tweet Wednesday that he does not know why he was suspended. He said he is trying to contact U.S. Center for Safe Sport, which investigates misconduct claims for USA Gymnastics.
The Gilbert native took bronze in the pommel horse final at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
