Phoenix Officer Tyler Moldovan continues his miraculous recovery

Moldovan was shot eight times while on the job in December of 2021.

PHOENIX — Walking down the stairs. Bowling. Things most people take for granted.

But for Phoenix Police Officer Tyler Moldovan, being able to do the simple things in life means everything.

Moldovan was shot eight times while on the job in December of 2021.

He originally wasn't expected to survive his injuries, but he continues to make progress on his miraculous recovery.

In a video released by Phoenix police in December of 2022, Moldovan said, "We all know that I shouldn't be here. But He deserves all the credit because I shouldn't be here. It's all God."

Moldovan's wife, Chelsea, has been documenting his recovery on Instagram. On Wednesday, the couple posted his latest victories.

This month, he could walk downstairs with the help of his therapists.  And he also got to try bowling for the first time since he was injured.

Last year Moldovan said he was looking forward to getting back to where he wanted to be.

It looks like he's doing just that.
