Shots fired into car on I-17 after altercation in parking lot, officials say

No one was struck by gunfire and the suspect remains outstanding, police said.

PHOENIX — The northbound lanes of Interstate 17 are now open near Pinnacle Peak Road in north Phoenix following a police situation.

Sky12 showed the traffic moving after the Arizona Department of Transportation said there is a "law enforcement situation" in the area. 

Phoenix police said they are investigating a confrontation that included several shots fired in the area of I-17 and the Happy Valley Road underpass.  According to police, there was an altercation that led to one car following another car to the underpass. 

One person in one of the vehicle fired several shots into the other vehicle and then took from the scene, police said. No one was struck by gunfire and the suspect remains outstanding, police said.
