I-10 in downtown Phoenix closed due to multi-vehicle crash

The eastbound lanes near the tunnel are closed due to the crash. Here are the latest details.

PHOENIX — A crash involving several vehicles is blocking all eastbound lanes of I-10 near 7th Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation

The crash caused one of the vehicles to catch fire, officials said, and it is unknown how many people were injured, if any.

"Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route," a statement from ADOT said. 

 There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes, ADOT said. The westbound lanes are unaffected.
