Thank you for visiting 12news.com for the weekend traffic report. According to ADOT, here’s what you need to know for the weekend of December 7 – December 10, 2018. Commuters will not deal with any major closures on the freeways, but will experience a surface street closure for a short period in Ahwatukee.
Pecos Road is closed in both directions between 40th and 32nd streets for underground utility work, Saturday 1 a.m. till Sunday 6 p.m. Eastbound Pecos Road is also closed between 24th and 32nd streets. Please consider alternate routes, including Chandler Boulevard.
Expect heavy traffic in the west valley on the I-10 and loop 101 Sunday for the Arizona Cardinals vs. Detroit Lions game at State Farm Stadium. Kickoff is at 2:25 p.m. but the lawns open at 9:00 a.m. so traffic will start building up in the morning. Try using surface streets or the Loop 101 coming from the north valley to decrease travel time.
