Suns trade Marquese Chriss, Brandon Knight to Rockets

Marquese Chriss and Brandon Knight will no longer wear Suns uniforms.

PHOENIX - The Suns traded two key players on Thursday to the Houston Rockets in exchange for 6-foot-10 forward and three-point specialist Ryan Anderson.

Marquese Chriss and Brandon Knight will no longer wear Suns uniforms. The Sacramento Kings drafted Chriss with the 8th overall pick in 2016. Those rights were traded to the Suns for Bogdan Bogdanovic and the 13th and 28th overall pick.

The 21-year-old forward averaged seven points and five rebounds for the Suns last season.

Brandon Knight has been with the Suns since 2014. The 26-year-old point guard missed the entirety of the 2017-18 season with an ACL injury. In 2016, Knight averaged 11 points in 21 minutes per game.

The Suns also acquired De'Anthony Melton, a rookie guard out of USC who the Rockets selected with the 46th overall pick in June's NBA Draft.
