Archie Bradley tells story of pitching a clean inning, despite pooping his pants

There's no real way to put this delicately: Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley said he took the mound with poop in his pants in one of this season's home games.

Diamondbacks flamethrowing reliever Archie Bradley revealed that he once ...uh... relieved himself — in his pants — before an appearance.

When asked what his most awkward moment has been, Bradley spoke his truth on the Yahoo Sports MLB Podcast with a detailed account of soiling himself in the bullpen bathroom right before he had to head to the mound.

It all started with what Bradley called a "nervous pee," and well, it's just better left in his own words.

Bradley told Yahoo Sports' Tim Brown:

"It’s a 2-2 count and I’m like, 'Man I have to pee.' So I run to our bathroom real quick. I'm ready to go and I'm trying to pee and I actually s**t my pants. Like right before I'm about to go in the game. I pooped my pants.

"I'm like, 'Oh my gosh.' I know I'm a pitch away from going in the game, so I'm scrambling to clean myself up. I get it cleaned up the best I can. Button my pants up and our bullpen coach Mike Fetters says, "Hey you're in the game.' So I'm jogging into the game to pitch with poop in my pants essentially."

Though Bradley didn't spill which game it was, he did say that it was a home game because he was wearing white and he checked himself out in the mirror before running to the mound.

"I just felt awkward and uncomfortable and just gross," Bradley said.

Well despite feeling dirty, Bradley said he pitched a clean inning and that's all that really matters.
