The owner says she saw a need for an area where children from infancy to age six can thrive and grow.

Janell Panicko, the owner of Jordan's Corners, says she saw a need for an area where children from infancy to age six can thrive and grow and that's why she created the playground.

"This inclusive play space is specifically designed to accommodate children's ever-growing minds and bodies, allowing for them to play openly while growing their skill set," Panicko explained.

With April being Autism Awareness Month, Panicko said the playroom offers an opportunity for both children and parents to connect.

As a nurse and a mom, Panicko believes all families can benefit from a sensory-friendly open layout that provides lasting memories.

“I wanted a purposeful place where my daughter who was diagnosed with a speech delay and sensory-process disorder, so I wanted her to have a designated area. The space is thoughtfully designed to create a community where child-led play, inclusion, and fun are encouraged, and differences are respected. In addition to open play sessions, Jordan's Corner offers a range of classes led by local educators designed to engage and teach children new skills and build relationships," said Panicko.

The playground opened two years ago this April. Panicko said she hopes to see it continue to grow.

"We see anywhere from 10-60 kids a day and I’m feeling good about our growth and the mission and passion is still here,” said Panicko.
