Landscaping truck crashes into empty building in Phoenix after 4-car collision

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

PHOENIX — Phoenix fire crews responded to a crash involving four vehicles that resulted in a landscaping truck being lodged into a business building on Friday morning.

The crash happened near 12th Street and Glendale Avenue around 7:15 a.m. A vehicle was traveling on 12th Street and it ran the red light. The driver of the landscaping truck tried to avoid the crash and ended up crashing into a nearby building. There were two other vehicles that collided as a result of the first collision. 

No one was inside the building at the time of the cash. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Others were evaluated at the scene and did not have to be taken to the hospital. 

Phoenix police remained on scene to investigate the crash.
