Body found in I-10 median near Buckeye identified as teen

On June 11, police identified the victim as 16-year-old Anaiah Walker and say she was the victim of a hit-and-run.

BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Police located a body in a median on I-10 in Buckeye just west of Watson Road on Friday, and they're still trying to identify who it was. 

The body of an African American woman was found in various stages of decomposition on May 22. An autopsy determined the woman was hit by a vehicle. 

On June 11, police identified the victim as 16-year-old Anaiah Walker and say she was the victim of a hit-and-run.

Mesa Police listed Walker as a runaway juvenile on December 2019.
