PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting reported Friday afternoon near 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
Officers were dispatched at about 1 p.m. to reports of a shooting and found a wounded person on the ground. The man, identified as 20-year-old Mohamed Toure, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Phoenix police said no suspects have been identified at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
Investigators are asking the community to help by providing any information by calling into Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO.
