Woman killed in Kingman crash after another driver ran red light, police say

Kingman police said the deadly crash happened just after 8 p.m. on Dec. 13 near Kino Avenue and North Stockton Hill Road.

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A 19-year-old woman has died after her SUV was hit by a vehicle that ran a red light, according to the Kingman Police Department.

Police said the deadly crash happened just after 8 p.m. on Dec. 13, near Kino Avenue and North Stockton Hill Road.

Police have identified the victim as Lacey Lynn Gale of Kingman.

Investigators determined Gale was making a left-hand turn on North Stockton Hill Road from Kino Avenue. A truck being driven by a 20-year-old Kingman man was traveling southbound on Stockton Hill Road and did not stop for the red light. The truck hit the SUV being driven by Gale.

Gale was rushed to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where she died.

Police said the driver of the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the crash. He was also transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police have not released the man's name.

Charges are pending the conclusion of the investigation, according to police.
