Going 'Fashionably Pink' for breast cancer awareness

The fashion show on Friday night at the Chateau Luxe in Phoenix will benefit the local breast cancer nonprofit Check for a Lump.

PHOENIX — Phoenix Fashion Week’s signature Fashionably Pink Celebrity Fashion Show is hoping to inspire support for a local nonprofit by turning its runway hot pink on Oct. 20.

The fashion show on Friday night at the Chateau Luxe in Phoenix will benefit the local breast cancer nonprofit Check for a Lump.

12News meteorologist Krystle Henderson will be walking the runway along with local celebrities and breast cancer survivors with Check for a Lump.

By supporting Check for a Lump, you will help fund its Wig Out Program, which provides high-quality wigs for post-chemotherapy as well as complimentary mammograms for low-income women in Arizona.

The evening begins with a glamorous cocktail and pop-up shop reception at 5:30 p.m., featuring a dramatic red carpet entrance for photo opportunities, mingling with local tastemakers, live DJ and refreshments.
