Head-on crash in Tempe leaves 6 people injured

TEMPE, Ariz. — Six people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries Friday afternoon after what police said appeared to be a head-on collision near the intersection of Hermosa Drive and Mill Avenue in Tempe. 

There is a traffic restriction in the area, according to the Tempe Police Department.

This is an active investigation, police said. 

No further information was released.  

This was one of several crashes reported in the Valley on Friday. At least one person was killed in these other crashes.
