$3 million awarded to former Valley Planned Parenthood employee

A Maricopa County jury has awarded $3 million to a Planned Parenthood whistleblower who was fired after alerting supervisors to a high rate of medical complications linked to a specific provider. The president of the organization said in a statement that the evidence was compelling that it was the former employee's failure to follow organizational rules and procedures that led to her firing.
