The Riches Wrestling Complex at Arizona State is buzzing these days in preparation for the USA Wrestling Olympic Trials, April 9-10 in Iowa City.
Among the hopefuls in the facility trying to make the team are Edward Ruth and ASU alum Kevin Radford. These elite athletes are from two different parts of the country but both got involved in wrestling for similar reasons: the WWE.
That’s right. Pro wrestling.
They both as kids went to try out for the team expecting turnbuckles and ring ropes but were surprised when they were nowhere to be found. Both stuck with it and are hopeful to make the Olympic team.
