On Thursday, the Phoenix Suns organization named Chris Jent the head coach of their D-League affiliate the Bakersfield Jam.
Jent will be the fifth coach in Jam history. He most recently spent time as Michael Malone's lead assistant with the Sacrament Kings and also was an assistant coach at his alma mater Ohio State.
During his time at OSU, Jent helped lead the Buckeyes to a 60-15 record and a Final Four berth.
His first job in the NBA came with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he was an assistant coach.
