Jen Welter joins KPNX as NFL contributor

She took the football world by storm and now she has her sights set on television. 12 News, KPNX-TV, is happy to announce that Dr. Jen Welter will become a member of 12 Sports as an NFL Contributor. She will be appearing regularly on 12 Sports Tonight during the NFL season on Sunday nights at 10:35 PM.

Jen Welter made headlines earlier this year when she became the first female assistant coach in NFL history. She coached the Arizona Cardinals' inside linebackers as part of a pre-season internship program. She also played professional football as a running back for the Indoor Football League's Texas Revolution.

Welter earned her PhD from Capella University in Sports Psychology. She attended undergraduate at Boston College.Her knowledge and expertise in football should bring a unique perspective that television viewers will embrace. It is believed she will become the first female NFL analyst on TV.
