Former Vol Albert Haynesworth opened up about his successes, failures, and controversies in a letter to his '14-year-old self' for The Players' Tribune.

In the letter, Haynesworth mentions that then coach Phillip Fulmer put him in touch with a psychologist, who soon became Haynesworth's friend.
"But do not trust this man," Haynesworth writes.
He goes on to say that the man handled the money he made professionally and says, "he will take millions from you."
Haynesworth goes on to address his seven-year playing career including the infamous incident in which he stomped on an opposing player's head.
The 6-foot-6, 320 pound Haynesworth even expresses regret for leaving the Tennessee Titans, who drafted him in the first round in 2002.
On his $100 million contract with the Redskins, and his two seasons in Washington, Haynesworth says, "You will lose your passion for football in Washington, and it will be impossible to get back."
At the end of the letter, Haynesworth mentions his latest business venture, a Burger Fi in Knoxville, and his other passions.
He closes by telling his younger self, "I am proud of what you accomplished."
