If you're heading out to shop, double check the hours on your Valley favorite spots — many are closed or have modified hours.

PHOENIX — Are you ringing in the new year with shopping? You may want to double-check if your favorite stores are open, first. 

Many retailers are closed or have modified hours to kick off the new year. Here are a few to keep an eye out for.
