PHOENIX - A trash compactor caught fire at a downtown Phoenix high rise Saturday.
The fire was located near Central and Lexington avenues.
Firefighters found light smoke and active sprinklers in the trash room when they arrived at the scene.
Nobody was injured and no evacuation was necessary.
Firefighters will remain on the scene as they finish working with the sprinkler system.
