Police suspect drug activity in 23-year-old Phoenix man's death

Police said the victim's parents came home to find him in critical condition with a gunshot wound.

PHOENIX - A 23-year-old man is dead after he was found wounded with a gunshot wound Friday afternoon in Phoenix, police said.

Just before 2:30 p.m., officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded to a home near 15th Avenue and Indian School Road for a call about an injured person. Police said Raymond Flores' parents came home to find him shot.

Flores was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said no suspect information is available at this time but there is strong evidence linked to drug activity.

This is an ongoing investigation, police said.
