PHOENIX — A man sustained critical burn injuries Tuesday morning after an electrical box exploded at a Home Depot in Phoenix, officials said.
Firefighters responded to the Home Depot near 36th Street and Thomas Road at about 10 a.m. and found a man suffering from burns to his hands and face, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Firefighters managed to suppress the fire from spreading beyond the electrical box. The wounded man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Fire officials are currently on scene to determine whether the business can continue operating.
