Valley police department looking for man accused of following teen girls

The incident happened on March 14 at a park near a high school and elementary school in Tempe. Here's the latest information.

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Tempe Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a man who was seen on video following three teenage girls in a park, the department announced Friday night. 

Police say the incident happened on Thursday, March 14, at 5:45 p.m. at a park near the intersection of Lakeshore and Watson drives. That area is just northeast of Marcos De Niza High School near Rover Elementary School. 

Three 14-year-old girls reportedly told officers they say the man following them and then ran east on Watson Drive where another person was able to pick them up, drive them to safety and call police. 

Police say they are looking for a Hispanic man, who is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, has shoulder-length dark brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing black pants, dark-colored shoes and a back short-sleeved t-shirt. 

Tempe police say need the public's help identifying the man so they can talk to him.
