Six people are dead after a plane crash near the TPC golf course Monday night in Scottsdale.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Six people are dead after a plane crash near the TPC golf course Monday night in Scottsdale.

Officer Kevin Watts with Scottsdale Police says they started getting 911 calls reporting the crash around 8:45 p.m. near Bell and Hayden roads.

When rescue crews arrived at the golf course, they located the crash and the plane on fire.

The plane has been identified as a Piper PA24 that had just taken off from runway 3 at the Scottsdale Airpark. Officer Watts says none of the people on the plane survived the crash.

The plane has registration pending out of Las Vegas and it was manufactured in 1970.

Instagram user @itsactuallyprettydope posted a photo of the plane in February saying he had just bought it.

The FAA does not list an owner of the plane, saying the registration is still pending.

No people on the ground were affected, according to the FAA.

The NTSB is leading the investigation.
