Utah couple killed after crash near Wickenburg

A man and woman sustained fatal injuries in a head-on crash reported last Wednesday night on US 93 near Wickenburg.

WICKENBURG, Ariz. — Two Utah residents have succumbed to injuries sustained last week after a traffic collision near Wickenburg.

A Toyota pickup truck driving southbound along US 93 was passing vehicles in a legal passing zone when it was involved in a head-on crash with a Volvo commercial truck-tractor on the night of Dec. 20, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

A passenger in the pickup truck, identified as 24-year-old Chloe Cook Stott, died at the scene.

DPS said the truck's driver, 26-year-old Parker Stott, was taken to the hospital for burn injuries and passed away on Dec. 24. The couple was reportedly driving from Utah to Arizona to spend time with family for the holidays, according to a GoFundMe page created in honor of Parker and Chloe.

The driver of the Volvo truck was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

According to KUTV, Chloe was a young entrepreneur who founded her own skincare business. Chloe and Parker had recently found out they were expecting a child, according to an Instagram page made in honor of the couple.

"They were so excited to be parents and share the news with their loved ones over Christmas," the Instagram page states.
