Officials with the Pima County Sheriff's Office have arrested Erick Henry, 23, in connection to the March homicide of 20-month-old Adam Mada.
According to authorities, on March 12 at approximately 2:50 a.m., deputies responded to a residence where they found Mada receiving life-saving measures from paramedics.
Unfortunately, Mada was unable to be revived and was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives responded and began an extensive investigation into the events leading up to Mada's death.
After an autopsy was performed by the Pima County Medical Examiner's office, the cause of death was determined to be a homicide.
After obtaining evidence collected in the case, homicide detectives were able to identify Henry as the suspect.
Sheriff's officials were able to locate Henry in the area of Camino Verde and Nebraska Road and have since taken him into custody.
Henry was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on one count of first-degree homicide and two coutns of child abuse.
