FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Road blocks are being removed from SR 87 at 4 p.m. as residents affected by the Tinder Fire return to their homes

Coconino County officials said road blocks will be removed from State Route 87 after an incident-free day of re-entry for residents in the Blue Ridge area affected by the Tinder Fire.

Road blocks on the east side of the highway, where home loss was most prevalent, will remain in effect and patrolled by the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.

Access will be denied to everyone except residents of those neighborhoods.

There is potential for hazardous materials in the area, such as soot, ash, nails and debris.
