MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — Human remains were found in a remote desert area of Mohave County, county officials said.

A call was received regarding remains located near the Meadowview Overlook Wednesday morning and Mohave County Sheriff's Office detectives responded to the scene. After detectives reviewed the evidence at the scene, authorities said the remains are believed to be those of Brandon Parish, 19 of Meadowview.

Parish was reported missing by family members in March 2021. Family members said they hadn't heard from Parish since February 2021.

The remains were recovered and the Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to confirm the identity of the deceased and determine a cause of death, authorities said.

There were no indications of foul play at the scene, authorities said. A missing person report was put out in August of 2021 and the report stated that Parish had an active felony arrest warrant and could have been armed.
