Lori Vallow Daybell back in Arizona, booked into Maricopa County jail

Lori Vallow Daybell is facing multiple homicide charges in Arizona after she was found guilty in Idaho.

PHOENIX — Lori Vallow Daybell has been extradited from Idaho and was booked into a Maricopa County jail, the county sheriff's office website shows. She is facing two conspiracy to commit murder charges here in Arizona.

The so-called "Doomsday Mom" was recently sentenced to three consecutive life sentences in prison in Idaho for the killing of her two kids, Tylee and JJ. She was also convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her husband's first wife Tammy Daybell.

She was indicted in Arizona for a second time, accused of conspiring to kill her niece's ex-husband. She was previously indicted in 2021 on a charge of conspiring to kill Charles Vallow, her fourth husband, in Chandler.

Idaho's governor signed the extradition papers in October, allowing for Vallow Daybell's return to Arizona once her appeal process in Idaho was finished.

In Maricopa County, Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone said during a press conference that Vallow Daybell will not be housed in general population, but isolated in a high-security area of the jail.

Her husband, Chad Daybell, who also faces murder charges, is still awaiting trial in Idaho. It's scheduled to begin April 1, 2024 in Ada County.

Vallow's first hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7. She is not eligible for bail.
