Shots fired at Tempe home, homeowner injured, police say

Police responded to a shooting call near I-10 and Southern Avenue around 2 a.m.

TEMPE, Ariz. — A man was injured after someone fired shots at his Tempe home early Wednesday morning, police say. 

Tempe police responded to a shooting call just before 2 a.m. at a home near I-10 and W. Southern Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man bleeding.

The victim said he was inside his home when bullets began flying into his home causing a window to break. 

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Medics believe he was bleeding from broken glass. 

Police have not found a suspect. 

The shooting is under investigation.
