Casa Grande murder suspect surrenders himself to authorities Tuesday

Marcus Hatton, 49, voluntarily surrendered himself at the Casa Grande Police Department Tuesday.

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — The suspect accused of shooting and killing 45-year-old Steve Shinault in Casa Grande has been taken into custody.

Marcus Hatton, 49, voluntarily surrendered himself at the Casa Grande Police Department Tuesday at 10 a.m. He faces several charges including murder, aggravated assault, and weapons misconduct.

Hatton is accused of fatally shooting Shinault near Kortsen and Trekell roads on Monday. After sustaining multiple shots to his torso, the victim attempted to get away from the suspect in his vehicle and ended up crashing into two residential structures. No other injuries were reported. 

Police believe Hatton and the victim knew each other. Below is a post from Casa Grande PD when they were searching for Hatton.
