ANETH, Utah — One of two men allegedly involved in a shooting on the Navajo Nation near Aneth, Utah last month has been arrested, the FBI announced Monday.

An FBI special agent and a San Juan County Sheriff's deputy went to the home of Cecil Vijil Jr. on March 30 to investigate another crime, investigators said.

Vijil allegedly began firing shots at the special agent and deputy, authorities said. No one was hurt during the shooting.

Vijil was arrested on May 3 after an officer spotted him walking along Highway 160, south of Towaoc, Colorado.

Vijil faces charges of assault on a federal officer and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.

Another man, Gary Lee Jr., is also being investigated in connection to the shooting.

Authorities say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Lee's whereabouts should call 911, their local law enforcement agency, or the FBI at (801) 579-1400.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, the Navajo Police Department, and the Utah Department of Public Safety are assisting in the investigation.
