Beloved Valley band recovers some of their stolen gear, still looking for stolen trailers

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers posted about the theft on Instagram. Two of their trailers were reportedly stolen.

TEMPE, Ariz. — Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers have some of their stolen gear back — but are still looking for the rest, according to a post on the band's Instagram page

The band asked for help after two trailers full of their instruments and equipment were allegedly stolen from a Tempe neighborhood.

The beloved Valley band posted about the theft on Instagram Wednesday night. The trailers were stolen while the band was in Mexico for JanJam, the post said. The trailers were left at home in Tempe.

According to the post, a black 12-foot by 6-foot double axle trailer and a smaller white trailer with orange and gray stripes were taken. Both trailers were last seen near Scottsdale and Curry roads, the band said.

Both of the trailers were full of equipment, instruments and other concert gear.

"Again, this is just stuff. It can be replaced. It’s not the end of the world. But if you happen to see anything in a pawn shop, please let us know," the band said.

On Saturday, the band gave an update that most of the equipment has been recovered, but they are still missing the trailers. They gave a special thank you to the Maricopa Sheriff's Department, the Phoenix Police Department and Zia Records.

According to the post, the "banditos" have been taken into custody.

The band said they were scrambling to find new equipment before a headline performance at the Desert Sol Jam Festival in Scottsdale on March 23.

The stolen items were apparently insured but the band had sentimental value for the items, especially a triangle used to record the "King of the Hill" theme song.

The band shared photos of one of the trailers on Instagram, but noted that they only had a look-alike photo of the white trailer.

12News reached out to the Tempe Police Department, but a spokesman with the department said they have not received a report from the band about the incident.
